Entering virtual employment…

I made a decision yesterday, that post-Christmas I shall finally embrace the world of online PC gaming, and see if I can join the ranks of the Second Life real estate tycoons (see here).

Up till now I’ve avoided it as i saw a viable second income I could derive from freelancing the skills I have from my dayjob, and my gaming was purely for pleasure. That’s why I’ve avoided the joy of incompatible graphic cards by buying consoles. But the time for expansion of the StressedBadger brand is now looooooong overdue, and the only things holding me back are:

a: V21/Nestervices meaning no broadband at home.

b: Needing a computer which is capable of running a game made after 1990.

So having recently reduced some of my debts I’m going to be investing in a medium spec PC, to live in the main living area, and run as a media center, and business machine.

Whether or not I’ll end up making a million from a genius idea, or I get bored within a week, the fun thing is just getting involved and trying. It’s probably too late to jump on the gold farming bandwagon, but there’s got to be an unturned stone left, and I just need to find it.

Then if that doesn’t quite work, i can always write a book about it. (here)

Who knows, I might finally unveil a new host and design for this page, and get another high concept project off the ground…

In the meantime, I’m still flat out in my day job, helping with a huge online project. Mmmmmmmmmm content loading.

It must be Christmas

With my current postal rush. Thank God the internet isn’t run by Royal Mail.

Found an interesting, if wordy, web 2.0 blog:
http://broadstuff.com/

And decided to reresh my knowledge of net father O’Reilly

Forget it all

Scrap all that rubbish I write about the internet… Free streaming episodes of truly brillainy shows are available at http://www.tv-links.co.uk/

Family Guy, Scrubs, and the Clerks Animated Series for starters….If anyone needs me, I’ll be using up mine, and everyone elses bandwith for the foreseeable future…and saving money on buying DVD boxsets (That’s a complete lie, of course I’ll still buy them…otherwise how else would I show my obsessive compulsive collector behaviour?)

Your blog is important to us…please hold…

Between my internet connection being up and down like the Assyrian empire (Or a tart’s knickers), and the current push to launch a new site by Christmas, I’m a little bit flat out at the moment…

I have still contributed to Faster Future…largely because it’s so comprehensively filled by one of my colleagues, that there’s no pressure to post, aside from trying to balance the current Mobile/3G fervour…

Of course, we could rely on Mr Gus to actually post, but apparently, since he had blogger crash on him after writing his first article, he can’t be arsed any more…

So if you would like to help by picking up some of my slack… Do let me know.
