I’ve finally had a chance to see what I’ve been missing on downloadsquad.com, and out of the whole list, sadly, it was Windows Live Messenger and Windows Media Player updates that most caught my eye…
The Messenger update is in Beta, and doesn’t appear to offer a whole lot I’ll use. Certainly paying £1.50 for a background wallpaper isn’t a feature I was clamouring for…
Meanwhile Media Player looks a lot nicer, and includes Butrning Cds and Syncing with portable devices in a much nicer fashion…just make sure you choose a custom install that won’t send all your details to MSN, and won’t automatically look for DRM for every mp3 file you might ever download
