Despite illness and the obvious panic that only the English can have at the sight of an inch of snow, I’ve managed to battle into work to find some cheery news awaiting me.
A U.S. study is claiming that action video games are good for you. And in a way most people wouldn’t have predicted. Interestingly a few hours of video games every day can improve your eyesight by 20 per cent over the course of a month, contrary to parental insistence that it will make you blind (Like most solitary pursuits of teenage boys).
The only thing I haven’t spotted is whether it’s necessary for the games to be played on a HDTV. I’m hoping that’s the case, just so I can justify a new telly to get the most benefits from a few hours of Gears of War every evening.
As yet, there’s no study into whether the benefits negate the risks of interactive porn, or even Dead Or Alive Beach Volleyball.
