The thing you have to bear in mind is the US itself provides a big enough market for these companies to grow for a long time. Initially, at least, US start-ups/web companies, etc concentrate on this market as it&#039;s easy (no language barriers), well connected and generally very web-savvy.

However, I agree, a company like Amazon should really be pushing services on a global level.
