We’ve just had the power return after a powercut for a couple of hours. Not too bad, aside from stumbling across the report on the local newspaper website:
“BREAKING NEWS 2PM: Hundreds of homes and businesses in the Ortons area of Peterborough are without electricity. Power went off at about 1pm.Lynch Wood Busines Park and the Marriott Hotel are thought to be evacuated.EDF Energy is looking into the power loss.”
Either I’m in an office of a few hundred people who shouldn’t be here – or no-one thought to check the news story with one of the largest buildings in the area…
