Wouldnt Social Median work for this - their system has the option to mark stuff for twitter so you could snipURL the addy and post to a channel on there - syndicating to others and keeping a timeline version of specific shared bookmarks.

Or if possible configure a Stumble Upon account to send this to and use the send to option for an email or stumbler - creates a record of what you saw of interest and option for a short comment. If you have a blog that can accept email updates then create a user as that email address and send to them direct. As long as you approve your blog to auto publish the email updates then they should post links and the comment to the post (may need to hide some email detail to protect the innocent so may need a greasemonkey or Wordpress tweak to select which bits you want published...)

what you describe is what i use delicious/stumble for but i am not aiming at a large user group or republishing outside of those groups - indeed you are the only other group member on my main account for delicious precisely to keep the noise to a minimum and Stumble is a select group of < 10.

But then i am not trying to be some bigwig social media blog type ;)
