Online Editor job going at www.motorcyclenews.com

Dan Thornton | October 3, 2008

There’s a job going on www.motorcyclenews.com for someone who combines editorial skills with a love of motorcycles. (Disclosure: Not only do I work for Bauer Media, MCN’s owners, but I worked on www.motorcyclenews.com for 7 years, and now do Community Marketing for it, amongst other titles). And I can vouch for the fact I miss working more closely with the team, and being on the the biggest motorcycling title around. And having the chance to ride test bikes, obviously!

* The creation and delivery of an online content plan in partnership with the MCN business team

* Sourcing and acquiring content from internal and external sources
* Contributing site development ideas

Key Skills/experience:

* Affinity for user needs (eg web-using motorcyclists)
* Experience in delivering digital (and/or other) content to a consumer market
* Writing and SEO skills
* Enthusiasm for digital media
* Technical competence
* Initiative
* Organisation
* Management and leadership skills
* Enthusiasm
* Reliability
* Strong people skills
* Good under pressure
* Adaptablity
* Eagerness to learn

To apply, send a CV plus two content ideas & two development ideas that you think would support or grow Motorcyclenews.com commercial position, to:

« The success of Youtube was only partly about video…. Re: Citizen journalism and the fake Steve Jobs heart attack »

    ECONOMY INSTABILITY! NO JOB! These words are frequently used in current days. Many face difficulties in finding job and even companies encounter difficulties to find accurate place to where it is cheaper to operate a business. They are pushed to a situation where they need to survive in high cost living areas. So we need good guidance to solve this problem
