Essential tools for working from the family home

Dan Thornton | December 29, 2008

There really are two things which make it possible for me to work from home without having the money to build an office in the garden:
Sony MDR-V300 Headphones with Neodymium Magnet – Folding Design

That and the fact I’ve got a bookcase partitioning me from the rest of the room and blocking the line of sight to the television (currently showing CBeebies to my partner and my 8-month old!).

@Euan lol...depends on what you're looking for in a pair of headphones! You can buy better ones for noise cancellation etc, but for a relatively budget pair I've found the Sony's pretty good, and they survive being stuffed in my backpack every day for work. I've also used them for at least an hour a day, 5 days a week for probably 18 months, and they haven't fallen apart yet!

So should I be uying a pair of those headphones then?

Hey Dan, I do like your penchant for hair metal on your Last.fm playlist. Listening to Van Halen's Eruption whilst taking a glimpse at CBeebies must be quite an experience. Rock on!
