Three articles I’ve saved recently all offer helpful advice for those of us who have a blog (or several), and although they’re not so much about marketing or PR, I thought they might be useful:

1. Some useful legal tips to avoid trouble when you’re blogging from The Blog Herald. Well worth reading, particularly if you’re not familiar with the idea that as a blogger you’re essentially a publisher in the eyes of the law.

2. For my U.S. readers, the story that the New York State Department of Labor is stopping the $405 a week benefits of an unemployed attorney because she declared her $40 a month earnings from her restaurant review site. I’m trying to be even-handed and see that there are cases where online earnings might not be accurately declared by some claiming benefits, but surely this will just lead to more fear and dishonesty?

3. And finally a practical look at effectively combining a social networking location, like Twitter, with blogging, when it comes to sharing images – and what works for driving traffic to your actual blog, from the always interesting Martin Belam.
